Marcin Kuśmierz will become the CEO, bringing over 25 years of expertise in the technology sector. His appointment marks the transition from Roy Perticucci, who will become Special Advisor to the Allegro Group.
Preparations for succession at Allegro were announced in October 2024, and the appointment of a new CEO was preceded by a comprehensive internal and external process. Marcin Kuśmierz will formally take over from Roy Perticucci as CEO of Allegro sp. z o.o. on 5 May 2025 and Allegro.eu at the AGM in June. This decision marks a significant milestone in Allegro's development, with the transition of the current CEO to act as Special Advisor enabling a smooth and structured handover of responsibilities.

I am delighted to welcome Marcin to Allegro. During Roy’s tenure as CEO, Allegro has successfully executed its strategy, delivered robust growth, built operational and technology capabilities, as well as strengthening financial discipline and operational performance. This platform for growth combined with the improved financial health of the group will enable Allegro to move to its next chapter and focus on responsible investing to accelerate further. Today, Allegro is one of Europe's largest e-commerce companies, with exciting growth accelerators in Allegro Pay, Advertising and Allegro Delivery and a very strong balance sheet. The selection of Marcin Kuśmierz signals a new chapter, bringing together proven entrepreneurial leadership with operational excellence at scale and a challenger mindset."

Marcin Kuśmierz is an experienced chief executive, entrepreneur, and investor with over 25 years of professional experience in the technology, e-commerce, fintech, and AI industries. He began his career while at university, when he founded a regional web hosting company which was sold to home.pl. He then joined ITI Group, the largest media group in CEE, as head of research and development and director of mobile services, where he coordinated major development projects to enable the group to benefit from the latest technologies. In 2007, he joined home.pl as CEO and later as a shareholder, leading the company to the number 1 position in the web hosting and business apps categories in CEE, and subsequently selling it to Europe's industry leader, IONOS. There he stayed on as CEO and was responsible for managing emerging markets and a large portfolio of SME applications. In 2021, he became the CEO of Shoper, successfully leading the platform to a debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, with an enterprise value of 65 times EBITDA. Under his leadership, Shoper achieved the highest growth of any e-commerce platform in Central and Eastern Europe between 2021 and 2024. At the beginning of 2025, he and Shoper's other major shareholders decided to sell the company to a holding company of technology companies, Cyber_folks who valued the business at over PLN 1bn. In recent years, he has also successfully invested in payment, logistics, cloud, and AI companies. Marcin is focused on building values-driven companies and believes a great company culture is a fundamental enabler of any innovative company.

It is a great privilege to embark on this journey as CEO of Allegro. It's a true Polish technology champion, and I'm honoured and excited to join the team. The company has undergone a series of transformations which have made it more efficient in generating cash flows and meeting the needs of its many stakeholders. To build on this success, I will develop an organisational culture which is inclusive and open to ideas, built on strong teams to allow our people to realise their full potential. My ambition is for Allegro to become the chosen e-commerce platform for many more consumers and merchants. I am confident we can do this whilst cherishing our heritage and leveraging the creative and innovative work of the many ambitious, talented individuals in Poland and CEE.”

The Allegro Group's gross merchandise value sold (GMV), including international operations, grew by 9.6% year-on-year in 2024, while the consolidated adjusted EBITDA rose by 17.9%, driven by strong profit growth in Poland and GMV growth on platforms outside the country. The number of active shoppers across the region reached 21 million, with 6 million on platforms outside Poland.
