The portfolio of pet supplies available on Allegro has been expanded to include non-prescription veterinary medicines (OTC). Currently, more than 1.3 thousand offers from verified sellers can be found on the platform, including such commonly used products for pets as flea and tick collars and deworming tablets. The launch of the products was possible by adapting the Allegro platform to the new regulations. According to them, only properly adapted websites and sellers who have submitted their application to the Chief Veterinary Inspectorate can carry out online sales.

Under the new regulations, offers in the non-prescription veterinary category are marked with a special logotype to make it easier for consumers to identify them. It contains the national flag of the EU Member State or EEA country where the seller is based and registered. Once clicked, the user is redirected to the national register of online sellers of veterinary medicines. This allows you to check whether the seller is authorized to sell veterinary medicines. Importantly, the offers are only available as a 'Buy Now' option and cannot be purchased by junior account users, meaning those under the age of 13. Additionally, sellers are also not allowed to promote them.
